In the darkness
Witches Hour
I make monsters
On the wall
Monstrous in the light of my torch

Massive scissors (chubby and round)
Snip Snip at the swing
Bulky clumsy Snakes
Eating
The bookshelf

This poem scribbled
On the underside of my thigh
In the darkness
Witches hour

I write....

Hi Maya Q:

Since you are a poet and blogger, I think you'll want to check out the website for a new novel Reconstructing Mayakovsky.
www.reconstructingmayakovsky.com
Like the novel, the site uses "found" objects (image, sound, text) and combines elements of sci-fi, poetry, historical fiction, and the detective novel to tell the story of the Russian Futurist poet in a totally different way. If you enjoy it, please share it with friends and on your blog. Thanks.

Wonderfully fun, Maya! I really enjoy this.

In answer to your question you posted on my own blog... no, I don't write poetry every day any more. That was an old experiment - One that I'd like to return to. The last seven months have not really been great for me and poetry. But what work I have done has been ten times better then most of my older work.
